Discovering the darker side to yourself - shadow work

You may be planning a psychedelic ceremony because you are interested in approching and uncovering some of the darker sides of youself. You have heard the stories of people getting amazing results with their anxiety or depression, you have read that some come away having healed old childhood trauma.
Whereas the research does suggest that psychedelics hold incredible potential for this type of issues - and at A New Day Retreats we have personally felt the benefits from diving deep in to the psyche - we would like you to be aware of some of the pitfalls related to this inner work.
Eryn Schrader has a very interesting podcast that covers this topic. She identifies as a Plant Witch, which is know litereally nothing about, but her points are poignant nonetheless, so if her approach is totally new to you, give her a chance and dive into her well referenced well of knowledge on this matter. The more informed you are about the process of starting to uncover hidden parts of yourself, the parts that until now have been in the shadows, the better equipped you will be to do so safely.
