2 and 4 day group retreats - what are they and what do they include?
Group retreats are wonderful for various reasons. They are more affordable and yet they offer more than an individual session (for example a powerful breathwork session, yoga sessions and group sharing activites, depending on the retreat you book). The group aspect is really amazing, you get to meet other interesting people who, like you, are looking for more in life and are open-minded and adventurous. The group's energy really comes together in a special way - particularly so for 4 day retreats, where you get to know one another like you have never met anyone before. The vulnerability, laugther and care that develops between guests always amazes me.
Our groups are fairly intimate with max 5-6 guests with 2-3 facilitators. If you feel you need more 1-to-1 support throughout the ceremony, a 1-to-1 session might be a better option for you. Feel free to be in touch to see what might be best for your circumstances!
2 day group retreat:
Day 1:
2 day group retreats take place on either Thursday-Friday or Saturday-Sunday. Guests arrive on day 1 by early/mid afternoon and all the participants have time to get to know one another and settle in to their rooms, shower, take a swim in the pool, get familiar with the retreat space etc. (depending on season). There is a 1-to-1 talk with one of the facilitators to talk about any last doubts and worries and to prepare for the ceremony.
By late afternoon, when everyone is ready, the ceremony begins in the ceremony room, and it takes roughly 4-6 hours. Your facilitators are around to support you at all times.
As the ceremony comes to an end (people finish at different times), there is a fire going in the firepit just outside the ceremony room that people can come and join when they feel ready. Dinner is ready, and you can socialise or just chill, depending on your mood. It is a lovely opportunity to laugh and make new friends. As people start to feel ready for bed, you can head to bed whenever you feel like it.
Day 2:
9:00 - Breakfast is served
10:30 - A powerful guided breathwork session that helps you wrap up the experience from yesterday's ceremony. You will be guided through the technique along the way and it can help you make more sense of the experience from the day before
11:15 - Sharing circle
12:00-12:30 - Wrapping up and people can start to leave for their onward journey. Light snacks can be provided for your lunch pack or if you are staying
It is highly recommended to stay an extra night and it is free of charge.

Why choose a group mushroom retreat in Alicante, Spain this autumn?
Alicante has 320 days of sun per year and the warm season extends way into autumn and even winter. Some years at Christmas we have a barbeque outside wearing only a t-shirt on Christmas Day.
So this is a great opportunity to get away from the dreary, grey, cold and rainy season of the north (I am from Scandinavia, I remember how it got me down!) while you also have an experience of a lifetime, meet new people and get to know yourself better. (Obviously we can't guarantee sunny weather, but the statistics are in your favour :))
Recharge your batteries, feel the sun on your skin, relax in the hammock and get to know amazing people who see the world from a different point of view. There are so many benefits of doing a group retreat! (We can't guarantee a full retreat either, it depends entirely on who books which retreats, they often fill up quite last minute).
So feel free to be in touch about any questions you might have about group or individual retreats and what will suit your circumstances better. We are here to help!
