Sometimes it may feel as if "nothing happens" during a psychedelic journey.
You have tried very, very hard to not have any expectations, yet the disappointment is palpable as the day draws to an end and you feel as if you never took off, you didn't have that mystical experience that so many people have spoken about. And now you feel deflated, disappointed and maybe even somewhat deceived.
Mindbloom have published a wonderful article about this phenomenon, you can access it from the link below. People experience these "nothing happened" journeys with some regularity, on psilocybin as well as ayahuasca, san pedro and other psychedelics. Find out how best to react if it should happen to you, and learn more about all the other ways in which psychedelics are helping you on your healing journey - even if you don't have that big, fancy experience that you were hoping for.

A way to avoid this happening is to be prepared and to practice "surrendering". Read our blog post about surrender, what it is and how to do it during your journey to make the most of it.
